Blog Tour, ARC Review & Giveaway: UnWritten by Chelsea M. Cameron

UnWrittenBlair Walton isn’t your average tattooed children’s librarian. She’s also one half of bestselling romance author, Scarlet Rose. Along with her bff Raine, she spends her nights writing books so steamy, she’s afraid they would shock her Southern conservative grandmother to death, if she knew about them. Blair and Raine keep their smut peddling ways a secret from everyone, including family.

On deadline for their latest book and out of ideas, Raine suggests (demands) that Blair find a guy and “do some research.” It just so happens that Blair has a guy that’s ready and willing. Declan Bennet has all the qualifications: He’s British, looks fabulous in a suit and gets bonus points for being a single dad. But what started out as a research project quickly turns into something much more. Someone else is writing this love story and Blair has completely lost control. But will Declan still feel the same way when he finds out the truth about Blair and her secret motives?

**ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.**

This is yet another amazing read from Chelsea M. Cameron. There are only a few of Chelsea’s books that I haven’t read but she continues to blow me away with every single book that I have completed. UnWritten is a standalone novel about a very eclectic librarian and a very sexy Brit. This book wrapped its arms around me and wouldn’t let me go; it had my full attention from start to finish.

Blair is so different to any other female book character that I have ever read before. She isn’t your stereotypical librarian with her tattoos and her secret life as a romance writer with her best friend Raine. I loved Blair’s personality and her wit; she was beyond entertaining and an absolute delight. It’s unfortunate that this is a standalone because I wouldn’t mind reading a little more about Blair and her amazing man, Declan.

Declan is British; that says plenty about the swoon-factor of my new favourite book boyfriend. If the male character in a novel is British, you pretty much have me hook-line-and-sinker before I’ve even read the first page. Declan is a single father which was a total turn-on and he is working in finance while going to school to get his MBA. A man in a suit, with an accent and he is an incredible father; I need a Declan in my life!

Chelsea knows how to write an incredible novel and I love her writing style. All of her characters are memorable and I always feel like I’m there with them in the book as each chapter plays out. It may not be technically sane but when you form a connection with so many book characters, they start to become your friends in your head. Blair and Declan are now permanently etched in my mind and this is definitely a book that I would love to read again. Though there’s nothing like reading a book for the first time; I would gladly relive this over and over again. I have my fingers crossed that Chelsea writes a book for Raine because I just need to know more about her after reading UnWritten.

“This was my version of perfect.”
