Blog Tour & ARC Review: Sweet Filthy Boy (Wild Seasons #1) by Christina Lauren

Sweet Filthy BoyOne-night stands are supposed to be with someone convenient, or wickedly persuasive, or regrettable. They aren’t supposed to be with someone like him.

But after a crazy Vegas weekend celebrating her college graduation – and terrified of the future path she knows is a cop-out – Mia Holland makes the wildest decision of her life: follow Ansel Guillaume – her sweet, filthy fling – to France for the summer and just…play.

When feelings begin to develop behind the provocative roles they take on, and their temporary masquerade adventures begin to feel real, Mia will have to decide if she belongs in the life she left because it was all wrong, or in the strange new one that seems world away.

**ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.**

I have been reading Lauren and Christina’s books for some time now, and I remember reading Beautiful Bastard when it was The Office. It seems like a lifetime ago and yet, they have continually excited me with the amazing stories that have followed on after our introduction to Bennett. I am glad to say that I loved Sweet Filthy Boy just as much as I loved the Bastard series. In this book we get to follow Mia and Ansel’s relationship as they embark on an unconventional route towards love.

I love Mia; not only did I connect with her as a character but I could actually relate to her personality. Christina and Lauren have provided us with an intriguing and inspiring character that captures your heart and makes you want to read more in order to see how she will face each new situation that she comes across. After feeling pressured to follow a career that she does not want to pursue, Mia takes the chance of a filthy-mouthed Frenchman who takes her on an adventure that could bring her back to the person that she was in the past – before a tragic accident took her dreams away.

The instant that Mia laid eyes on Ansel, I knew that I was going to love this man and I was damn right. Ansel is a whole lot of sexy and a whole lot of pure male. This Frenchman completely stole my heart and turned my world upside down. When Mia follows him back to his home country, things only get steamier for these two characters. Though it’s not all fun and games. Mia and Ansel have their fair share of drama and complications. Christina and Lauren took me on a journey of lust, happiness, humour, angst, anticipation, sadness and joy – preferably in that order.

Mia and Ansel aren’t the only characters in this book and I can’t wait to see where Lauren and Christina take this unique and entertaining friendship group. The Wild Seasons series will follow a similar format to the Beautiful series and I am already counting down the days till the next book is released. I have to say though – Ansel is going to be a hard act to follow! ;)

“To me, you’re perfect.”

About the Authors:

Lauren Billings (but everyone calls her Lo) has a Ph.D. in neuroscience and before she made writing her full-time job, would spend her days doing nerdy research-type things wearing a lab coat and goggles. She is silly Mommy to two littles, wife to one mountain biking homebrewing scientist, bestie to a shoe-stealer, and an unabashed lover of YA and romance.

Christina Hobbs (but you’ll always hear Lo call her PQ) used to spend her days in a junior high counseling office surrounded by teenagers. Married to the cutest boy in school, she has a thirteen year old daughter, is an unapologetic lover of boy bands and glitter, and also likes to steal Lo’s shoes.
