Coen Steele has spent the last five years serving his country. Now that he’s back, he’s finally ready to leave behind the chaos of the battlefield and pursue his lifelong dream. What he wasn’t expecting was the feisty sister of one of his battle buddies—who has made it obvious that she wants nothing to do with him—to intrigue him in a way no woman has before.
Reagan Hudson’s life changed in the blink of an eye six years ago when she found out she was pregnant and on her own. Since then, Reagan has vowed never to let another man into her life so that no one can walk out on her, or her son, again. But the more she runs into her brother’s hot and mysterious friend, the more he sparks something in her that she promised herself she wouldn’t feel again.
Can two people with everything to lose allow themselves to finally capture the love they both deserve?

When I think of a Molly McAdams novel; I think of heavy emotions, tears and a story that will captivate your heart. I was pleasantly surprised when I received all of this in Capturing Peace. Due to the book being a novella, I thought that it would be an introduction to the Sharing You series with a short story and there wouldn’t be enough time to get attached to the characters – this is not the case. Have you seen the number of pages in this novella? If all novella’s were this length, I would be a very happy reader!
When I read the blurb for this book, I became overly excited and had a bit of a fangirl moment because I love these types of story lines. Raegan is a single mum with a six year old son who is completely adorable. She is a strong and independent character and it was inspiring to see the life she built for herself and her son Parker after being dealt with a new direction in life at such a young age. I admire her so much!
Coen just took my breath away throughout the entire book. After being released from his career in the military, he starts off his new life as a civilian. As fate would have it, Coen bumps into Raegan (literally!) and this starts off a chain of events that are sometimes spontaneous and at others they are created to force Coen and Raegan together. There coincidences are just too close to home to allow these characters to stay apart for too long.
I thought that Molly did an exceptional job with this novella. It held all the elements of a great book and was not too short and not too long. The storyline was a perfect succession of moments that captured my heart and convinced me to fall in love with this series before it has even had a chance to really begin. I swooned, I cried and I laughed at some of the moments in this book and I cannot wait to follow on with Sharing You after the incredibly sad and intriguing introduction that Molly has provided in this book.
Capturing Peace is not a story that I will be able to let go of easily. I know that many of Molly’s fans will love this book as well as newer readers who have not yet experienced the Molly McAdams Effect just yet. A hint to all those newbies: always have a box of tissues on hand when you read anything that Molly has written.

About the Author:
Molly grew up in California but now lives in the oh-so-amazing state of Texas with her husband and furry four-legged daughters. When she’s not diving into the world of her characters, some of her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and long walks on the beach … which roughly translates to being a homebody with her hubby and dishing out movie quotes. She has a weakness for crude-humored movies, fried pickles and loves curling up in a fluffy comforter during a thunderstorm … or under one in a bathtub if there are tornados. That way she can pretend they aren’t really happening.
