Blog Tour, ARC Review & Giveaway: Throttle Me (Men of Inked #1) by Chelle Bliss

Throttle Me

Suzy’s a control freak and has her life mapped out – work hard, find a man with a stable job, and live happily ever after. She’s content with the status quo, but her plan comes to a screeching halt when he enters her life and turns it upside down.

City gave up on love when his heart was crushed in college, preferring to be the typical bachelor. He spends his nights hopping from one bed to another and his days working at his family tattoo shop, Inked. A chance encounter on a dark road makes him question what he had sworn off forever – a relationship.

A night of passion and lust causes them to question everything. Is City the knight in shining armor to the damsel in distress? Can their relationship survive when a fantasy falls apart and a secret comes out that changes everything?

When I first set my eyes on this book, I couldn’t wait to read it. Not only is the cover easy on the eyes but the storyline intrigued me to the point of obsession and I needed to read it as soon as possible. I’m not ashamed to admit that I judge a book by its cover and this cover is just so damn amazing!

I love the two main characters in this book. City and Suzy are definitely an appealing couple even though they are as compatible as night and day. I love how “tame” Suzy is compared to City. When he rides into her life (literally!), it is fun to watch as he slowly corrupts her and turns her whole world inside out. Between Suzy’s career as a teacher and City’s job as a tattoo artist, they are on complete ends of the spectrum; though the spark between these two character is anything but dull. Their chemistry could rival the New Year’s fireworks in Sydney – INTENSE!

‘You. Me. Darkness.’

I absolutely adored Suzy and her strength and ambition. It was inspiring to follow her relationship with City as she embarks on a new path of uncertainty that doesn’t follow on with her plans to marry a straight-laced business man. The way that City sweeps her off her feet is just completely swoon-worthy. I loved it!

City has a mouth on him, but it is so HOT. This tatted-up man could rival many of your favourite book boyfriends. I had the expectation that City was part of a MC before I read this book and I’m so glad that this wasn’t the case as I think that the MC theme has been written to death. Our beloved biker is just a tattoo artist that loves to ride his motorcycle and hang out in seedy bars. It doesn’t sound so appealing but he is hard to not love.

The one thing I regret is not knowing that this book was a spin-off of Chelle’s Love At Last series. This was my introduction to Chelle’s books and I’ll now go and read her other books already knowing what the outcome of the story is. I really do recommend that you read Untangle Me before you read this book. Other than this little tid-bit, I really did enjoy this book and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book in the series, Hook Me.
