Layla Flaherty had the perfect life, or close to it. Until a stranger gunned her parents down right in front of her, leaving her with seizure inducing PTSD. After years of trying to pass as normal and failing miserably, she resigns herself to being invisible. But new to town Landen O’Brien sees her, and he likes what he sees. Much to Layla’s surprise, he doesn’t freak out when she has a seizure in front of him. He does the exact opposite, calming her until the tremors subside. But Landen has secrets of his own. Secrets that both bind them together and tear them apart.
Scarred by loss, Layla leaves her hometown of Hope Springs, Georgia, hoping to put her painful past behind her and start over in college in California. When she runs into Landen at freshmen orientation, she has a choice to make. Reinforce those steel walls she’s built up around herself or give the only boy who can keep her still a second chance.
Landen’s more than ready to tear down those walls but this time when they come crashing down, they might bury her.

The whole time I was reading this, I was thinking: THIS IS FABULOUS!!!
I instantly fell in love with Layla. She has been dealt a tough hand in life and continues to solider on through her PTSD after witnessing the death of her parents. The way in which Caisey depicts Layla just makes you want to hold onto her and never let go. It definitely inspires you to want to understand the underlying issues and problems that some people face every day.
I can’t go on without mentioning Landen.. RIGHT NOW! I am in love with that boy. Where no one sees Layla, Landen can see right through her and wants to get to know her. I was a hot mess in a lot of the scenes in this book and I really loved the connection between Layla and Landen. They’re just two human beings that need each other more than they realise. Their kind of love is one of those that only some people find. I am in awe of them.
The best bit about this book is that it doesn’t just focus on a short period of time where two people meet, get to know each other and then they fall in love. Keep Me Still goes so much further then your standard love story. It focus on real life issues that couple face every day and over a long period of Landen and Layla’s relationship. I went through a box of tissues or two and would gladly read it again in an instant!
