Chloe hasn’t had the best life. With a mother who is gone more often than not, she has had to raise herself. After graduating high school, she leaves to start a new life away at West Virginia University with her best friends Amber and Logan, determined to leave her demons in the past.
On her first day, she meets a stranger who takes her breath away at first sight. Until she met Drake, no one had ever sparked her interest. Now this tattooed and pierced bad boy is all she can think about, no matter how hard she fights it.
Falling for Drake was never part of her plans, but when it happens, things seem to do anything but fall into place.
Dealing with a tragic past, Drake has never cared about anyone else but himself and his band. But when Chloe takes the empty seat next to him in class, things start to change. Instantly drawn to her, he begins to wonder if one girl can take a cold hearted womanizer and change every part of him?

Now that my fangirl is being contained, I can tell you how much I love this book. K.A Robinson sure knows how to write a fantastic and intriguing story!
Chloe hasn’t had the easiest start in life. She is starting her first year in college and meets Drake in one of her classes; there is an instant attraction between the two. Her best friend Logan is not happy with the prospect of Chloe associating with Drake and warns her to stay away from him. It is suspicious how protective Logan is when he is only suppose to be her best friend!
Nunguam amavit – Never loved.
On a night out with her best friend Amber, Chloe decides to leave the party early when Drake comes to her rescue to drive her home. Incidentally, Logan blows up at the idea that she allowed a “stranger” to take her home. I was definitely not a Logan fan in this book and was Team Drake the whole time!
When a terrible incident puts Chloe’s safety in jeopardy, Drake swoops in to save her. He provides her with the support and comfort that she needs and will not get from anyone else. The connection between them is undeniable throughout the book, though Drake is persistent to remain “just friends”. This inevitably blows up in his face and I thought he was completely insane to let her go.
“You bring out the best in me. I’ve changed since I met you, all for the better. I don’t know what it is about you, but you make me want to be a better person.”
As Chloe’s past and present collide, she has to decide which path she wants to take in order for her life to be fulfilled. This book is not just your typical college love story; it deals with real life issues. These issues include love, loss, family, infidelity and forgiveness. I was touched and invigorated by the time I had read the last page. The book did end in a slight cliff-hanger and I can’t wait to read what happens next in Twisted!
