Review: Rock Chick Redemption (Rock Chick #3) by Kristen Ashley

Rock Chick Redemption

Roxie’s on the run from a bad boyfriend who will not catch the hint that it is o-v-e-r. She’s in no mood for love at first sight, but when her eyes fall on Hank, it’s trouble from the get-go. Roxie tries to hold Hank at arms length but Hank wants to be a closer (as in, a lot closer). Roxie’s trouble catches up with her and Hank wants to help but Roxie knows in her heart that she’s no good for a white hat guy. The problem is no one agrees with her, especially her crazy hippie best friend Annette or her parents; the even crazier small-Indiana-town Herb and Trish. Toss into the mix the gang from Rock Chick and Rock Chick Rescue and Roxie finds herself totally outnumbered.

Climb in for another Rock Chick wild ride through Rock Chick Redemption. As the odds stack up against Roxie, she has no choice but to hold on and just ride it out through the kidnappings, car chases, society parties, a riot at the strip club, Hank getting “Mom Bombed” and one crazy night at the Haunted House.

During all this Hank works at convincing her she really wants to stay and he, along with the Hot Bunch, go all out to make her safe. Hank also needs to work on showing Roxie that her past decisions don’t mean her future can’t include something as downright delicious as… normal.

5 star review!

I’m slowly making my way through the Rock Chick series and I absolutely love it. I am a huge fan of series that follow a different couple in each book. With this series, you get to meet and experience the relationships between eight couples. Rock Chick Redemption follows Roxie and Hank’s journey! :)

“Hank was goodness and truth. I was secrets and lies.”

As I wrote in my review notes, Roxie is running from her ‘piece of shit’ boyfriend (Australian terminology knows no bounds; you’ll get used to my strange sayings). Billy won’t get the hint that it is over between them. She finds herself in Denver, Colorado to visit her Uncle Tex, who she has never met. For those Rock Chick fans, everyone knows and loves Tex. I think he is pretty damn awesome!

“Yes, I was undoubtedly, seriously, officially in trouble.”

Upon her arrival in Denver, she runs into Hank and is instantly attracted to him but fights it because she is technically still with her ex. Hanks advances turn romantic and she becomes overwhelmed because no one has ever treated her like that before. I felt like Roxie was the most independent in the Rock Chick group and wanted to sort out her problems alone.

“Hank had ceased to exist for me. For his own good and mine.”

It’s not a Rock Chick novel without some violence, a kidnapping and a whole lot of gunfire. I think the hardest part of reading the Rock Chick series is figuring out which one of the guys is your all-time favourite. Between Lee, Eddie and Hank, I want them all! **SWOON!!!**

I WANT TO BE A ROCK CHICK!!!!
